The Story
In Austria the crew rock climbs, hikes about 1,800 vertical feet to the giant Werfen ice cave, and treats themselves to a thermal spa when winds cancel flying. On a steep alpine launch Sandra loses control of her wing at the cliff edge and has to abort, a moment Jamie calls real life or death, and the two talk through the failure and trying anyway.
Why we make these films
Battling Monsters is the mental health movement Jamie Leibert founded. PTSD is the monster. A wingsuit is how he manages it. Not a recovery story. A daily fight, filmed. Every film on this site is free because the people who need it most are the ones who cannot pay for it.
