The climb
My first multi-pitch ice climb, a six-pitch frozen waterfall. Three pitches in, a partner dropped his ice axes 200 metres up.
Bailing
No axes, no climb. We rappelled down, sore and humbled. Failing and turning around is part of learning this. It happened here, and it will happen again.
Why we make these films
Battling Monsters is the mental health movement Jamie Leibert founded. PTSD is the monster. A wingsuit is how he manages it. Not a recovery story. A daily fight, filmed. Every film on this site is free because the people who need it most are the ones who cannot pay for it.
