The Story
A letter from Jamie to his father, who died by suicide: the spiral into meth addiction that followed, quitting and staying clean for 15 years, the alcoholism that replaced it, and the dream that pulled him out of the darkness. He ends by saying he is finally figuring out what makes life worth living.
Why we make these films
Battling Monsters is the mental health movement Jamie Leibert founded. PTSD is the monster. A wingsuit is how he manages it. Not a recovery story. A daily fight, filmed. Every film on this site is free because the people who need it most are the ones who cannot pay for it.
