The rule

I train at full effort, in environments where a mistake is safe. Then when I perform, I stay at 70 to 80 percent of what I can do.

That gap is the whole point. It is the room a mistake needs so it does not become the last one.

Where it applies

BASE jumping. Climbing. Speedflying. Paragliding. Skydiving. Wingsuiting. Same formula every time. Push where it is safe, hold back where it is not.

Why it is bigger than sport

Leaving room for a mistake is not being timid. It is how you stay alive long enough to keep getting better.

Why we make these films

Battling Monsters is the mental health movement Jamie Leibert founded. PTSD is the monster. A wingsuit is how he manages it. Not a recovery story. A daily fight, filmed. Every film on this site is free because the people who need it most are the ones who cannot pay for it.
