The attempt
El Monstruo is a Battling Monsters film. One film, three attempts. This reel is raw footage from the fight to be the first to wingsuit BASE jump it.
It includes a close call that could have ended everything, and a shoulder injury that threatened the whole attempt.
Sandra
It also shows Sandra facing her own fear to help me go back to the place that broke me. She is not crew on this. She is the other half of the attempt.
Where it stands
The attempt continues next season. Until then, this is what the road to it looks like, before the edit makes it look easier than it was.
Why we make these films
Battling Monsters is the mental health movement Jamie Leibert founded. PTSD is the monster. A wingsuit is how he manages it. Not a recovery story. A daily fight, filmed. Every film on this site is free because the people who need it most are the ones who cannot pay for it.
