This is not a wellness app. It is a daily management practice built by Jamie Leibert, who manages meth addiction and PTSD every day, and has since federal prison. It works because it is real.
Every morning, say one honest sentence about where you actually are. Not where you want to be. Not what you think people want to hear. Where you are. That sentence is the anchor.
Do one physical thing to get out of your head. Walk, climb, jump, run. The activity level does not matter. You cannot spiral and move at the same time. Movement breaks the loop.
Tell one person one real thing about your day. Not a highlight reel. One honest moment. Isolation feeds the monster. Connection shrinks it. This is the hardest step.
At night, ask one question: did you suck a little less than yesterday? Not "did you win." Not "are you cured." Did you suck less. That is the only metric that matters.
Show up tomorrow and do it again. The goal is not a finish line. Addiction, PTSD, and a criminal mindset do not have finish lines. This is daily management. Every single day.

Common questions
Mental health self help tools are daily practices you use to manage your mental health without a program, a provider, or a finish line. The most effective ones are simple, repeatable, and built around honesty. The Monster Management framework is four steps, five minutes, done every morning. That is what self help actually looks like when it works.
Yes, when they are consistent and honest. The research on routine, movement, and social connection in mental health is solid. What does not work is tools that require perfect conditions or that chase a cure. These tools are built for imperfect days, which is all the days. They work because they ask for consistency, not perfection.
Yes. These tools were built specifically for managing PTSD, addiction, and life after incarceration. They come from someone who manages all three daily. They are not a substitute for professional mental health care if that is what you need. They are a daily practice that runs alongside everything else.
No. The guide and the daily framework are free. Just Care More is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit funded by donations. What our supporters give is what makes this free for everyone who needs it.
